Here's a simple script that I'm working on to do the conversion: convert2smgl.sh.
You'll also need mapping.gentoo for Gentoo or mapping.format if you want to write your own.
The script requires that you have the functionality of our basesystem package on the "host" box.
Then just run `./convert2smgl.sh` and you'll have a basic SMGL install in /mnt/smgl (by default). You can
override the default location with `./convert2smgl.sh < location>`.
